Lahaina Canoe Club welcomes all Maui businesses and all canoe clubs Novice B’s to participate and compete in this year’s annual event. This fun filled beach day is open to all groups, work colleagues who wanna make a crew of 5 and win a division.

Lahaina Canoe Club would like to invite island businesses and organizations to compete in outrigger canoe races on the shores of Hanakao’o Beach Park. This great team-building event gives access to the outrigger community, exposure to the culture and supports a culturally significant non-profit organization.

Registration 7:30am / Lane Draw 8:00am / Races Begin 8:30am-9:00am
Lahaina Canoe Club will supply the canoes, the steersman, and paddles for each race
Personal paddles not allowed except for steers-people
Steerspeople are assigned to lanes; changes not permitted
Participating businesses / organizations supply crew members
Race course: approx. 1⁄4 mile, ﬂag to ﬂag, no turns
Parking at Hanakao’o Beach Park (canoe beach) and surrounding beach parks
Trophy Ceremony to follow events

Awards

Winners get a beautiful trophy paddle to hang in the place of business for a year! (King & Queen, they receive haku & lei)

Entry Fees

$150 per crew
$20 to enter King & Queen race
Fees must be paid before the races. Please bring a check payable to Lahaina Canoe Club

Canoe Club Ice Breaker! – Compete in your own race to get the jitters out and ready for season!

Club Novice B Women
Club Novice B Men
Club Novice B Mix

Non-Club (Make a crew) – Any person who has not participated in any sanctioned Maui County Hawaiian Canoe Racing Assoc. or Hawaiian Canoe Racing Assoc. canoe race, regatta or ‘long distance’ season.

Non-Club (Make a crew) – Experienced men and women paddlers.

King & Queen of the Beach! – Win by conquering a one man pull 1/4 mile race against other men & women to show everyone whats up!

FOOD AND REFRESHMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE FROM 10A UNTIL 2P

Remember this is a fundraiser for Lahaina Canoe Club so please refrain from bringing company food. Food will be on location and beverages will be available for purchase. Your help in this matter will go a long way to making this a successful fundraising event.
